Tata DoCoMo is the first private player to launch the 3G in India after its auction early this year. Tata DoCoMo has 3G licenses for Karnataka, Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai), Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (East and West), Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. If you have a 3G enabled handset with Tata DoCoMo connection, you can activate the 3G and browse the internet from your mobile phone.

To enable 3G settings, SMS, ACT 3G to 53333, and you will be activated on the 3G network with a few hours.

Once the network is enabled, go to your phone’s network settings and enable GSM/ WCDMA (Auto mode) or just WCDMA mode. If you own a Nokia phone, go to Menu -> Settings – > Phone -> Network Settings. In your Network settings choose Network Mode as UMTS.
