Windows Phone 7 which was released by Microsoft recently has a new UI and comes with lots of features. One of the major changes is to the start page which has totally new design. You can pin items including applications, contacts, photos etc to the start page. This article tells you how to pin items to Windows Phone 7 start.

To pin an application
- From Start, flick left to the Applications list.
- Press and hold the application you want to pin, then press Pin to Start.
To pin a contact
- From Start, press People, then flick to All.
- Do one of the following:
- Press and hold the contact you want to pin, then press Pin to Start.
- Press the contact you want to pin, then press Pin.
To pin a website
- Open the website you want to pin.
- Press More, then press Pin to Start.
To pin a location
- From Start, flick left to the Applications list, then press Maps.
- Type the location you want to find.
- Press the flag identifying the location, then press Pin.
To pin an album
- From Start, flick left to the Applications list, then press Music + Videos.
- Under Zune, press Music.
- Press the album you want to pin.
- Press and hold the album art and then press Pin to Start.
