IMAG to Date is a free application for Windows Mobile which renames image files, JPG, GIF, and BMP to Date Formatted filenames, MMddyyyyHHmm_RID (R.I.D. Random ID). The dates are based on the Date when the file is created.

Generally mobile cameras name the images as IMAGXXXXX.jpg and this might not make much sense, but with IMAG to Date, you can change the files names to the date when it was taken.
