Skype’s latest version for Windows Mobile which was released yesterday has support for SMS and File transfer. Both these features are very useful ones which are available in the desktop version as well. The SMS feature has been added as a shortcut icon on the contact list page. You can also send text message by selecting "Send SMS" from the Menu options.

The file transfer feature is a bit more difficult to spot. To use it, select "Contact Options" from the Menu choices, and then "Send File." This feature will cause more data charge, so it’s best to have a data plan in place before going large transfers.
