Google has announced a special version of the T-Mobile G1 for developers use.The Android Dev Phone 1 is a 100% SIM and hardware-unlocked version of the T-Mobile G1 that can be used with any GSM sim-card. The device ships with a system image that is fully compatible with Android 1.0. With its boot loader also unlocked, it can be used on other networks and with customized versions of the Android operating system.

The handset can be purchased from T-Mobile’s G1 site for $399 and shipping within the US is free. It is also available to be shipped internationally to 18 different regions including including the US, UK, Germany, Japan, India, Canada, France, Taiwan, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Poland, and Hungary. To get a Android Dev Phone 1, you should be Android developer and for that you will have to register on the Android Market site and pay sign up fee of $25.
